DECENTRALIZED AI · BITTENSOR · TAO

AI inference, served by a decentralized network.

Energon is pay-as-you-go inference on open models, served by Engy — Bittensor subnet 53 — an open market of miners competing on price and latency. Every answer is verified by the network. One base-URL swap and you're on decentralized AI.

CA Launching soon — the only official $NRG contract address will be published here. Beware of fakes.

One network, no single owner

01 · What Energon is

Verified open-model inference. No middleman cloud.

Most "AI APIs" are one company's GPUs behind one company's terms. Energon routes your requests to Engy's decentralized miner market on Bittensor — and the network itself checks the work.

Open models

Frontier open weights

DeepSeek, Llama, Qwen and other open models, served by SN53 miners competing on price and latency. You pick the model; the market prices the serve.

Verified, not private

The network checks the work

Engy's validators verify that the model you asked for is the model that answered. Your prompts are not confidential — we say so up front, because that's the honest claim.

Pay as you go

No subscription, no lock-in

Top up, spend per token, stop whenever. An OpenAI-compatible endpoint means switching in — or out — is one line of config.

02 · How it works

Swap the base URL. Keep your code.

Energon exposes standard OpenAI-compatible chat completions in front of Engy's miner market. Setup is minutes, not migration.

03 · Why decentralized

Intelligence shouldn't have a single owner.

Bittensor pays an open network of miners in TAO to serve intelligence, and Engy's subnet turns that into verified open-model inference. That structure — not a promise — is what you're relying on.

Resilience
No single point of failure
Inference is distributed across independent miners. No one datacenter outage, deprecation notice, or corporate kill switch takes your app down.
Market pricing
Competition sets the price
SN53 miners are paid by performance and undercut each other to win requests. Cost tracks the market, not a pricing page.
Verification
Trust the network, not the host
Engy's angle is verified inference: validators check which open model actually served you. You don't have to take a provider's word for it.
Alignment
TAO-aligned by construction
Every request pays the network that serves it — and Energon goes further: its fees accumulate into a staked position in SN53 itself. Usage strengthens the rails.
04 · The Engy reserve

Where the fees go.

A feature, not the headline. Swap fees and product revenue split two ways at launch: 80% market-buys and burns $NRG on-chain via a permissionless, immutable Uniswap V4 hook; 20% is bridged and staked — one-way — as SN53 alpha. A growing, transparent position in the subnet that serves every request.

FEES swap tax + product revenue most the rest BUY & BURN $NRG on-chain · permissionless · supply ↓ STAKED SN53 ALPHA one-way · never round-tripped
FEES → BURN · 80% at launch — swap → 3/3 tax accrues WETH in the immutable hook → anyone calls buybackBurn() → market-buys $NRG from its own pool → burns to 0xdEaD → supply ↓.
FEES → RESERVE · 20% at launch — fee slice → bridged RH→ETH → converted to native TAO → staked to SN53. One-way. Never round-tripped.
DEMAND — paid inference → Engy revenue ↑ → SN53 alpha ↑ → the staked reserve ↑.

The reserve is custodial — Bittensor has no smart contracts — so we make it legible instead: a published coldkey, on-chain-readable stake on Taostats, and a live dashboard from day one. It is an appreciating homage to Engy, not a redemption claim.

06 · Disclosures

Read this before you touch it.

Plainly designed on purpose. If any of these is a dealbreaker, don't buy and don't build on it.

06.1
Verified ≠ private.

The network verifies which open model served you. It does not hide your prompts from anyone. If you need confidential inference, this is not it.

06.2
The reserve is custodial.

Bittensor has no smart contracts. The SN53 reserve is held by a published coldkey controlled by the operator — transparency, not trustlessness. $NRG carries no redemption right against it.

06.3
The keeper is centralised, and bridges are bridges.

The reserve leg depends on one operator bridging RH → ETH → Bittensor. Bridges fail, keepers stall. The on-chain buyback-burn is permissionless and does not depend on it.

06.4
Engy is young.

SN53 is early: no published SLA, an audit layer still shipping, a thin alpha pool. We inherit all of that — upside and risk, both real.

06.5
This is an experiment.

Energon is a parody-adjacent economic experiment, not an investment product. No promises, no roadmap owed, not financial advice. You can lose everything.

06.6
No affiliation.

Not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Engy, Algod Trading, the Opentensor Foundation / Bittensor, Robinhood, Circle, Paxos, or Uniswap Labs. All names belong to their owners.
